Accessibility in Manufactured Homes

As a home installation services provider, one of our top priorities is accessibility.

In the United States, one in five people over the age of 65 struggles with mobility, and 38% of people over the age of 65 have disabilities.

Despite this reality, only 1% of housing is currently designed to be wheelchair accessible.

Manufactured homes, ADUs, and Home Care Cottages are great because they allow individuals to age in place or receive care at home without breaking the bank. Another major benefit is that this can all be possible without sacrificing comfort, accessibility, and inclusivity.

Curious what your options are?

Well, regardless of whether or not your home is built by one of our partner companies, we can help make coming and going from your home as easy as possible. We install wheelchair ramps and lifts (like the one seen in the video below), as well as fenced decks for spending time outdoors.

As the great neurologist and author Oliver Sacks once said, “I wish for a world that views disability, mental or physical, not as a hindrance but as unique attributes that can be seen as powerful assets if given the right opportunities.

We couldn’t agree more.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about accessibility or if there are any ways we can improve!
